Maybe you have to be a teenager to really understand the concept of being idle. Maybe it is only with those few early teen years that doing nothing is the one time in your life that nothing is truly made into an art form.
It is most certainly the time where listening to your music via earphones is at its highest concentration. You turn out the Real world and enter the one of your chosing. Tend to think this is where the first ideas of grown up hood, begin. The what ifs are not refrained or bound by money or talent. Anything is possible as long as the music never dies. One can dream, plan, plot and scheme. It is about the only time in life where that kind of behavior is tolerated, semi-accepted.
We are about to enter summer once again. Understand there are three weeks of school left. The warmth of the sun brings with thoughts of idleness with small bursts of response. We are each at its beck and call. No matter what season of life you are in, summer has its own agenda, its own rules.
There are some who are idle their whole lives. The dreamers who never got past the dream. Either too scared to try, or too lazy. Taking in correct doses, idle is part of the journey. When an overdose occurs, things tend to go south, quickly. Life is about taking what you need,and leaving some for someone else. It is never really ours no matter what kind of ownership we claim.
